Daddy's Eyes
I learned many of life's lessons,
Just by watching Daddy's eyes.
Sometimes they were full of anger,
Sometimes it was surprise.

They taught me when to be forgiving,
They taught me when to care,
They gave me the joy of laughter,
And comfort when I was scared.

From the times he was disappointed,
To when he was saying "I Love You",
I learned how to treat others
From those beautiful eyes of blue.

Daddy has been gone now,
For 10 years this past Fall,
But, the lessons those eyes taught me,
I remember most of all.
